 When choosing the car you want to buy/take with you to university there are several factors that you should take into consideration: its price, fuel per 100 miles, miles per gallon, top speed, the tax band and the insurance group. Taking these into account, here is a selection of the top 5 cars for first time buyers:  
  

##### **1. Hyundai i10**

Although really small, it provides impressive space and practicality.  
  

##### **2. Ford Fiesta**

It has a really stylish look.  
  

##### **3. Volkswagen Up**

A comfortable ride, but the small engine can struggle on motorways.  
  

##### **4. Volkswagen Polo**

As with the Volkswagen Up, its downside is the small engine.  
  

##### **5. Renault Clio**

A bit of a disappointed ride and not such a nice interior design (plastic material).
